Sergio is a Staff Software Engineer at Apple Maps Infrastructure. His expertise includes System Architecture, Microservices (SaaS/PaaS) and Databases. He’s currently focused on Data Streaming/Analytics pipelines on the Cloud with Flink, Iceberg and Scala. Before Apple he worked on building Services for the Energy and Utilities Trading Market, and he helped built a national network of LP Gas stations in Mexico prior to that. Aside from work he’s a guitar player and music production enthusiast.

Divya is a Software Engineer based out of Seattle, working on developing Shepherd, Stripe’s next-gen ML feature computation platform. Prior to her ML Infrastructure work, she spent 2 years working in Airflow, Stripe’s data orchestration system.

He tackles a range of challenges in data movement, processing and real-time analytics space and has contributed to key platforms like Data Mesh and Keystone. Prior to joining Netflix, Sujay was part of the Data Infrastructure team at Meta.

Erik Schumann is the product owner of the streaming data platform at NORD/LB. This includes Kafka, Flink as well as the Data Quality Platform. Usually described as talking with people and drawing pictures he designs solution architectures, ensures data management requirements are met and coordinates the platform team.
Daren Wong Software Engineer AWS

Daren is an experienced software engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he specializes in the Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink. With a passion for real-time data streaming, Daren contributes extensively to the Apache Flink open-source community.

As an active contributor, Daren’s work includes:
- Apache Flink AWS Connectors: Creator of the CloudWatch connector and key contributor to the Kinesis, Firehose, and DynamoDB connectors.
- Apache Flink Prometheus Connector: Creator of the Prometheus TableAPI and SQL connector, enhancing monitoring and observability within Flink ecosystems.
- Apache Flink Kubernetes Operator: Contributor to the 1.3.0 release, with notable enhancements in error metadata and new configuration options.

Outside of his work at AWS, Daren is dedicated to fostering the growth of the Apache Flink community and is enthusiastic about sharing his expertise with the broader data community. He looks forward to discussing the power of Apache Flink and its potential for modern data-driven applications.
Antonio Davide Cali Staff Data Engineer JustEat Takeaway

Antonio is a Staff Data Engineer at JustEatTakeaway.com, where he leads the streaming ingestion team. His mission? To build self-service tools that empower teams across the company to land their data smoothly onto the Data Platform.

Antonio has worked across Europe for companies like LEGO and IKEA, proving he’s not afraid of assembling complex systems (or flat-pack furniture). He dove into the world of Apache Flink about a year and a half ago and has since been bravely battling stream processing dragons, including the questionable life choice of writing a custom BigQuery Flink Source Connector.

The most interesting thing about him? Easily his dog, named Spark. Yes, that Spark. It’s complicated.

Cesar has worked in IT for more than 25 years.

From the early days dealing with mainframe programs and VSAM files, evolving to relational databases like Oracle and Sql Server up to the current days using state of the art cloud data solutions like Snowflake and mostly AWS services, data is always in the core of his professional background.

For the past year, he has worked at Kuehne+Nagel as a data architect, helping to build the company's new data mesh.

Preeti Nayak is a Senior Software Engineer in Bloomberg’s Compliance Reliability Engineering group, with an interest in scaling distributed systems and data pipelines through automation and cloud-native solutions. Before joining Bloomberg, she interned at Meta on the WhatsApp Infra team and was a Lead Engineer in the Web Engine & Privacy team at Samsung Research Institute, Bangalore. Preeti earned a bachelor’s in computer engineering from VJTI Mumbai and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
