Your profile

  • Several years of industry experience, or academic experience

  • Good knowledge of distributed systems and database systems

  • Has experience in building data-intensive applications or -infrastructure.

  • Good programmer, a good grasp of data structures, algorithms

  • Good software engineering skills:

    • know how to write clean, testable, and maintainable code

    • can write documentation

    • has experience in breaking down complex problems/features into well-defined sub-problems

    • Understanding of simple and robust designs, including designing APIs

  • Can debug and fix complex problems in distributed systems

  • Can mentor other developers, teach them through collaboration

  • Is interested in open source, working with users, and excited about the opportunity open-source offers to them

  • Bonus:
    ○ Deep understanding of Java and JVM mechanics
    ○ Solid understanding of a native language (Rust/C++).

About this role

At StreamNative we work closely with the Apache Pulsar and Apache BookKeeper open source software communities. We are looking for a Senior Community Manager to spearhead community building with a focus on scaling up the community and driving direct engagement with existing and prospective learners. This individual is usually the first responder to our community through GitHub, Forum, other online Mechanisms and plays a larger role in our inbound product feedback. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement a strategy to track and understand Pulsar adoption at the company level.
  • Develop and refine the strategy to scale up our online community and provide value to learnersInnovate and develop new ideas to connect and -engage the community.
  • Foster connections between community members and encourage them to support and guide each other.
  • Design and deliver live and virtual community events to drive value for the community.
  • Coordinate with User Experience and Design teams to ensure excellent developer experiences across tools as they are created.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of experience of building and scaling online community & events end-to-end, from ideation to execution
  • You have experience with open source communities working with distributed systems and data streaming
  • Experience and ability to lead, motivate and coach a high performing team
  • Experience with Git, Github workflows and actions 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills 
    -Strong project management and collaboration skills to manage multiple tasks and projects while sticking to deadlines

About this role

We are looking for a talented Content Marketing Manager to join our expanding Growth Team. This person will create content that raises awareness, generates interest, and inspires action. We need a thoughtful, creative content marketer who thinks differently. Someone who can work with what we’ve built so far but also work with us to elevate our content to the next level. Someone who is a strong writer who is familiar with B2B technologies but also has a penchant for storytelling. This person will apply their expert writing skills, experience with complex technologies and startups, and ability to identify and targeted content for various audiences to amplify the StreamNative brand and reach. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • With direction from marketing, sales, product, and engineering, you will develop content for developers, technical leadership and enterprise customers.
  • Develop blog posts, website and landing page copy, social posts, digital ads, eBooks, white papers, email copy, and sales collateral to drive awareness, education and interest in Apache Pulsar and StreamNative. 
  • Understand StreamNative’s business, including our core value proposition, the market opportunity, competitive positioning, and key customer segments.
  • Talk with sales, customer success, and product teams to better understand our customers and content needs. 
  • Work with engineers and other SMEs to project manage the development of technical deep dives and other technical content. 
  • Work with leadership and the broader marketing team, and others to contribute creative ideas and approaches that leverage content to drive revenue.   

 

About You

  • 3-5 years experience as a content marketer with a strong writing background in a professional setting
  • Able to provide a portfolio of work/writing samples, and speak to their business impact
  • Experience working with a tech / SaaS organization 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Able to develop effective cross-functional relationships to help accelerate projects. 
  • Startup experience preferred
  • Creative and innovative thinking—you can distill complex concepts into simple, thoughtful, engaging designs
  • Flexibility in taking on new challenges and working cross functionally
  • Willing to take and provide feedback in a constructive and productive manner
  • Ability to manage down, up, and across in the team and organization

About this role

As StreamNative’s Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you'll be the dynamic driving force behind our go-to-market strategies, supporting our Sales and Customer Success enablement across the company's product lines. You'll be responsible for developing and delivering both prospect and customer engagement initiatives and campaigns to educate our target accounts and drive ongoing adoption of StreamNative’s products. As our Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you will lead and execute on engaging marketing campaigns designed to provide differentiated value to our prospects and clients throughout their lifecycle.
You'll also bridge the gap between our Growth and technology teams to ensure StreamNative's messaging and brand are appropriately represented, from research and development to launch and enablement.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be the product marketing expert for StreamNative by analyzing the market landscape and competition, keeping documentation of findings current, understanding and educating others on the buyer and user journey and sharing customer and market requirements.
  • Customer Insights – Have deep empathy for our customers’ pain points and needs to help develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Ensure the voice of the customer is always represented in every customer product and marketing experience.
  • Work with Growth, Customer Success and Sales to ensure training, collateral, and other resources are up-to-date and on brand
  • Own the creation of customer enablement materials
  • Help develop value-based messaging and positioning of new features or benefits, ensuring that messaging is consistent across channels
  • Develop, maintain & iterate on positioning & messaging for the creation of one-pagers, case studies and other collateral
  • Maintain a feature release calendar, and partner with Comms on keeping the team informed 

 

About You

  • 5+ years experience in Product Marketing at a SaaS company
  • 7+ years experience in Marketing
  • Experience implementing go-to-market strategies
  • Creative flair with strong writing skills and a knack for developing collateral
  • A marketing practices guru - you love keeping up with all the latest trends!
  • Experience in a highly technical environment 
  • Project management whiz who can juggle multiple projects with shifting deadlines
  • Exceptional communicator with a collaborative personality (you'll have tons of face time with different stakeholders in the company!)
